Harold, Hi, I have 2 of my plants with pumpkins growing. I have been
unable to get one started on the Welty 379.5,even with ice. I have noticed
if I overhead water to long Nick's plants get a wilt started. I control it
by cutting out the infected leaves and less water. My plants do not have
this problem. Two of my plants that I treated for 48hrs with colchicine
look like it really took. The leaves are upto 22 X 24 in. a new record for
me. One of them has 19in tendrils and a two in. stem, both records. I was
wondering if its possible that we are dealing with various numbers of
polypoids? It seems like all the strains cross with others. Can a 8n X
10n give us 9n? Roger
