Sorry to hear that. I am having the same problem. I just have heat in
the 100's and high 90's. Lately I got relief but it is too late. pumpkins
are pretty much mature. But I have an ingenious idea. Start pumpkins early
next year before the big heat. Use greenhouses to start seedlings out doors
and when the 80's start my plant should be close to polinating. I figure
one good month can get me 300 llbs. And I know, I will be way early for
competition, but I guess I will just have to put it in cold storage.
