It is fairly common for a pumpkin that's growing fast to have small
splits in its skin that weep. You can spray it with bleach and water and when
it dries follow it up by brushing on a mix of Captain with a small amount of
water. I would only due this if the splits are large and wet. Most likely you
will see that the spots if small, will dry on their own and will take care of
them selves.
