Scott,
Don't know about age - but I was reading in Susan Ashwoth's book "Seed to
Seed" and she says that to increase seed viability you should harvest the
seeds 20 days after the pumpkin has been plucked from the vine. She cited
some research that showed increased germination rates with pumpkins that had
been harvested this way...
Kevin.

Anyone know how long it takes for seeds to be viable? i culled one
yesterday that wasnt' all that big, but the seeds looked nice and plump. i
have no idea how long the pumpkin was there (it was hiding under some
foliage), so i don't have a time frame. I plan on trying them to see if
they work, but im curious to see if anyone knows.
