Scott,
Thanks for the inquiry on my new lifting tarp. The pumpkin that I just
brought to the picnic was 474lb. The tarp worked perfectly. It is the same
size as P&Ps largest tarp 6x6. Its real measurements are more like 5'9"x5'9."
I own both P&Ps 5x5 and 6x6 tarps. My largest pumpkin last year was 614lb. I
found that the larger tarp worked better. When you roll the pumpkin on its
side to get the tarp under it, it was easier with the extra material of the
bigger tarp to pull it under the pumpkin. This is why I went to the bigger
size. I only think a smaller tarp would be more convenient for a pumpkin
under 300lbs. Lifting the pumpkin is no more difficult with a larger tarp,
remember, your only talking 6" on each side from a 5x5 to a 6x6. That extra
material does make a big difference when your sliding it under the pumpkin
though. Also, my tarp has four handle holes on each side, giving you more
options to grab hold of. P&Ps 5x5 only has three per side. If you want I can
have a smaller tarp made for you. I think 3 sizes of tarps is just another
way of selling more tarps! I hope I answer your questions OK.
