People Leaving the List

I have followed the list since it first began. It has been helpful to me
although I have not yet grown a 1000 pounder. Some very good growers have
come and gone from participating. The major reason is in my opinion the "chit
chat" and the repetition of the questions." The volume of mail is
overwhelming. Different people have different expectations regarding what
should be posted. Should we be entering personal stuff? Many say yes???
Should this be strictly about the technical aspects of growing big pumpkins?
Many would say yes??? It is a problem when the same questions come up over
and over again. Quite a few of the answers are in the archives. How many
times can a person answer questions like, "Should I feed my pumpkins milk?""
We will see that question again. So where have the experienced growers gone??
Answer: Back to their pumpkin patches. I will continue to lurk in the shadows
and I know I will get "busted" for my comments. Give me your best shot. Not
even Duncan really has control over the postings.
