Just a reminder, in some pumpkin growing areas, the days are growing shorter, night temp.s are getting cooler, individuals are pumping water and fertilizers on their plants, your leaf canopy is maxing out. The sum of these conditions equal the onset of mildews. If you are not getting good air circulation the mildews will start even sooner. I have a note on my computer reminder list that pops up yearly on Aug. 19th "don't forget to step up your mildew prevention program". My next message should pop up shortly "get late summer soil test".
