Bees, insects and resistance
We are farmers, and in response to Steve's post on smarter bugs and resistance, I have to tell you that our canning company was saying they have traps out to gauge the amount of bugs before and after spraying, and the bug levels are at 20 times the most they've ever had before. They have sprayed and sprayed this year, and it doesnt seem to help. I know my garden is overrun with aphids...I completely gave up on the corn in there this year because its way too gross to try to pick off the bugs. SO, even tho it sounds wierd, if the canning companies are noticing it, maybe you aren't so far off!
