Cutting Vines Off
Could someone tell me if I'm supposed to cut off the vines that are growing
off of the main vines? Because I cut off a whole bunch of vines and left only
3 of the biggest vines that are growing off of the main vine. Or am I
supposed to leave it growing? I don't know what I was thinking when I started
going bezerk and chopping all the smaller side shoots off. I was thinking
that if I cut off all the smaller shoots off, the others would take off. Did
I make a big mistake? And if I did it right how many side vines should I let
to grow? And can I make 1 pumpkin grow on each side vines. So if I left 3
side vines growing off of the main vine then I have 4 vines so can I grow 4
pumpkins from 1 plant? And do I just keep chopping all the small side vines
that start to come long off? So now my vines have no side shoots because I
cut all the small vines off and left only the growing tip growing so it comes
longer should I stop cutting all the even small side shoots off. I'm not
worried about growing the worlds largest pumpkins because in Hawaii there is
no largest pumpkins contest. (I think)
