pumpkin progress
Hi there! The progress report from Tukwila, WA, home of awesome possum...So
far, we have 4 pumpkins growing rapidly. Late start this year due to cold,
wet, and rainy weather. We have one pumpkin that is gaining fast and looks
to be the outstanding pick. Closely followed by one other. We just MAY
have a decent one to bring to the weigh off this year. Sure hope we don't
have to embarrass ourselves again this year! We are learning, slowly for
sure, but with all the soil amendments, I have to say the sunflowers (the
embla cross ones) are 15 feet tall and still growing. So, if the pumpkin
bites the dust, guess we will have to enter sunflower competition.
