Hi Karri,
If you still have the Harvest '98 video,
check the Loren Vanderschoot segment
(one of the first segments on the tape)......
you should see a close up of buried vines
there. I would call these correctly buried
vines........Loren learned how to do this
from Pete Glasier (our local resident
expert).
At our growers meeting in San Jose in
April, I was fortunate enough to sit
next to Jack LaRue at lunch.......I asked
him about buried vines (and a lot of
other pumpkin stuff)......he told me he
buries his vines 100%.
