more on Womper
Thanks to all for the kind words. If things weren't already bad enough,
came home tonight to find that the Mettler 865 also split today at about
625lbs. For those who have asked, Womper was crossed with the
Mettler865. It's parents are the Anderson977 and Lloyd 935 and I do
still have some seed left. Please wait till this winter to contact me
about seed though. We have just 1 pumpkin left now, a Lloyd 935 at about
830 now but it has a Dill ring, could be pumpkinless in Pa any day now.
If there is a small bright side to this, at least I know that I have OK
soil and pretty good seed.
The saddest part about this is that we will never know just how big
Womper would have grown.
