Dear friends on the list,
The subject of this thread got me to thinking (a dangerous endeavor any day
but particularly so on a Monday). With all the genetics tracking done by the
various pumpkineers, has anyone ever plotted the strengths/weaknesses of a
pumpkin's progeny by geographic region? Do the offspring of some pumpkins do
better in the Northwest rather than, say, the Great Lakes Basin? I suppose
the proper grouping would be by hardiness zone rather than geographical
area.
This is just an idle thought that I found whispering in my ear. It may have
no merit but it sure beat working for the time it took to type it up.
