Cow whacker & Kincaid on the attack in NZ

A cow whacker is a fibre glass rod with a grip/handle on the top end. It is
about four feet long. They are sold at A&P shows and Agri field days etc for
$. Farming types use them to poke, prod, point and whack cows, weeds family
members and people from local government. It is sort of icon of farming for
non farmers if that makes sense. They are very handy for all sorts and are
sold 'tongue in cheek' as cow whackers. I might trial one for my NZ
automatic vine lifting device.

But - the real news is that the Kincaid has come from nowhere (relatively
speaking) and is now the longest runner. Yesterday it put on thirteen and a
half inches in 24 hours - is that fast??? Seems to me this season there is a
huge increase in vegetative growth rates!
