Genetics 1-A

I'm not the Pumpkin Witch, but I have a background in biology.
If two individuals can interbreed and successfully produce offspring,
they are the same species, whether pumpkins, fish or fowl.
Any further variation among breeding individuals gets you into sub
species and sub subs, etc.
Any further distancing among non-breeding individuals gets you into
genus, family, order, etc.
Does anyone know what traits are linked in AGs?
I ask because... was it George Webster? ... referred to the crowned
heads of Europe as an example of what happens when selfing gets out of
hand. Selfing is good, but do like the 4-h kids do in their herds and
bring in some outside talent every 3rd or 4th generation.
