You have a valid point. Joe, in fact, has a tremendous amount of space to
conduct many different experiments with his seeds. Diversity does make all
the pumpkins different sizes and shape and makes the game tougher. It would
be boring or noninteresting if all our pumpkins were the same shape, color,
and size. I do believe that some selfing and crossing can produce seeds that
will be good and produce continuously steady big pumpkins. It would take a
long time to make the game easier, and i don't intend to try.....i just want
to someday grow a pumpkin of my own that will produce steadily like the
801.5 stelts. One fact that i didn't know was that self seeds can have so
many variations, but i would think crossing would have many variations also.
