i have a few apple trees and i was under the impression that fruit would
form anywhere there were fruit spurs regaurdless of branch position or
angle what do you mean by curly vines are you wondering if fruit will
set on the vines you are moving to avoid your beans if so the answer is
yes you can get fruit to set there fruit set is in a better position
if on the outside of a curve to allow for more growth with less vine
stress i beleve there are diagrams that show in detail on the backyard
gardener website what i'm trying to say or maybe someone witha better
computer than i've got can send you some pictures
