Oops. My smart quotes turned to other characters. Let's try this again...
'Twas the night before Christmas - I lay there in bed,
Cucurbit visions dancing in my head.
Please, Old Saint Nick, not the 'same ol' for me,
How 'bout some excitement wrapped under the tree?!?
Whizzer heads, worms castings, liquid seaweed
Please Santa just these few things do I need!
"How to Grow-3" and a pumpkin tape measure,
Joel Holland's vid would be such good pleasure!
Greenhouse supplies or a trip to Niagara,
A jug of gibberellins are good as Viagara!
Call it my obsession or maybe compulsion
I'd love some good fungi and fish emulsion!
An eight forty six or a seven twenty three,
Who wouldn't want one of THOSE under the tree?
I wake Christmas morning - hope turns to despair
Alas, it's the same ol'- socks and underwear!
Merry Christmas to all
from Hudsonville, MI
(what'll be under YOUR tree this year?)
