When first I took up the shovel
a pumpkin I did plant.
I grew a patch of pumpkins
Where others said,"you can't."
But when I saw the giants
In my head I heard the chant:
"Gotta grow a big one,
A giant pumpkin plant."
"Forget about the small ones,"
The voice it did rant.
"With compost, water and lots of sun,
The record you'll supplant!"
