I am unaware why this would happen. I will query the pumpkin mailing list and see what they have to say. -- Duncan McAlpine, Federal Way, WA m*@eskimo.com Why buy plants when you can grow them yourself.....? http://www.eskimo.com/~mcalpin/ http://www.eskimo.com/~mcalpin/pumkin.html

Dear McAlpine, My neighbord has been growing pumpkings for at least 30 years. He has a beautiful colection of spanish, french, german pumpkins. Last week, he asked me why the pumpkins were turning yellow this year. Normally, they stay green with yellow strips but this is not the case. Why? As an agronomist, I could not give him an answer. Please, if you have any answer for this misterious behavior do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you for you help. Hasta pronto, Hugo Vela Spain rvelawork@pulso.com
