Stewart,
I have used the Rapitest kit with moderate results.  It is very easy to use.  The reason I say moderate results is, true is gives you your pH, N, P, & K levels, it does not however, show you the complete makeup of your soil.  Things like organic matter and trace minerals/elements don't show up.  In order to get the complete soil test, as well as recommendations for "YOUR" soil, contact your County Extension agent or possibly the nearest Agri. Center at the college near you.  The rapi-test does give a great basis for a starting point (or if you do not have any other sources for soil tests).  I highly recommend it for use as "one tool" we people of the soil persuasion can use in our hobby!
