Compost Bins

My husband is just getting into the pumpkin growing and I have a question
about compost bins.  We have a garden that's about 1000 sq. ft. and I was
wondering what the best way to make compost is.  We live in a tight
residential area and can't have the smell.  We're too close to sidewalks
and neighbor's windows.  I saw an ad for a compost tumbler that's sealed
and is supposed to produce compost in 14 days from lawn cuttings and
soil.  Is this a good deal?  Any suggestions?
