The discussion about increasing the size of your garden by doubling the root
depth and thereby increasing your garden essentially by two does not address
the leaf area. Lets not forget the leaves.

As far as leaves go I was very surprised how few leaves AG's needed. This
year was the first time I pruned heavily and was amazed at the results.
Unfortunately I'm one of the last growers to realize this and it'd probably
the biggest mistake I've ever made in growing AG's. I wish I knew the leaf
count they need but I didn't count them. Many growers have been practicing
this heavy pruning for years with great success.

Root Depth: I've had the roots go down well over 2'.
