Hi Marv. I agree!! I believe that manure is responsible (directly or
indirectly) for some diseases. For example, Myself and Tim Adams are
neighbor's and Ron Wallace only live one town over, as the crow flies he is
very close. Ron has lost some big pumpkins to PHYTOPHTHORA !! He uses
manure!! Even after he had fumigated his patch, he had another attack this
year!! Again, he adds manure!! I use NO manure at all and never had this
problem and was still able to grow an 818 pounder this year. Tim Adams also
has never had this problem. Tim grew the largest pumpkin in the state this
year 830lbs!! Of course, not to ruffle anyone's feathers this is my opinion!!
