There was no deficiency on the 1190 side of the patch, the reverse is
true. The 1190 side was worked and fertilized for 2 years, the 1131 side
only 1, levels of N P and K lower. Another thing that we do is plant
other things in the patch and observe what they do, for instance, in one
part of the patch a few tomatoes developed blossom end rot which
indicates low calcium. When soil samples are taken, what you get is the
average of the patch, but by planting other things all around you test
each part of the patch.
