RE BENOMYL

As a fungicide I used Benomyl last year. Another grower suggested using this is harmful to the plant since it is a systemic. Frequent applications can put the plant in shock. Captan I heard works well but I do not have access to, any suggestions can I buy Captan in the states are there substitutes
