I used Admire this year. I did not have many Vine Borers, but can't say
it was because of using Admire. I called Bayer Corp. and told them I wanted
to use it as a soil drench. They got back to me and said to use it at a rate
of 2 Teaspoons per gallon. I put 1 gallon around the base of each plant. I
called them later in the summer and asked if I could do it again. They
replied NO. They asked me if the Vine Borers I was after, in its adult stage,
if it was a moth. I replied it was. They said Admire did not work well on
mouth type Vine Borers. I paid $95 for a pint! Wish I could say for sure if
my low count of borers was because of there product. You can call Bayer Corp.
at 1-800-842-8020. Other people have been told to use 1-2 ml. of Admire per
12 oz. ( Coke can )
