Alan,
Ken Mitchel of EG grew 490squash from the 968 Sproule. It was a nice green
grey. The color genetics is so wild the sproule968 was from a selfed
690=1006 x941 where did the squash enter in?? Back in 1990 821Sq
stellpflug?? Does selfing bring forth the recessive color
gene??........years back some Ca. growers had squash that were DARK green
like that of an acorn squash. Ken's cross was back with the 697 cilberto
increasing the chances of getting a good squash. You might want to check
that one out......MB
