I would have to agree with Larry that a low CEC didn't stop them from
making it happen . Low CEC means low holding power of nutrients and there
are obvious ways around it. Understanding that............ You would have
to fert. low doses frequently and consistantly.
My experience with Bentonite was it was used to seal newly made ponds
from leaking. Adding clay is experimentation in uncharted waters(soils)
and would limit it to a test patch......Brock
