I buried my vines last year immediately, for the sake of root growth, than
got in a fert load of trouble when the pumpkins started to grow and I had to
cut a secondary which was feeding my prime pumpkin, which stopped growing
immediately at 100 pounds.
I think I will wait until things are configured a little more before I bury
this year. But it is true that the sooner they are buried, the more rooting
takes place (at lest in my yard).
