What would happen if at the very bottom of your
plant site (3x5x5) there was an upside-down lid 3 or 4' wide to catch extra
water and nutrients that are leached from the top through watering? Would the
plant abort when it's main root couldn't grow anymore? Or would the plants roots
sop up the extra goodies like a biscuit in a plate of
gravy?
