I have finally obtained the 879 Holland seed and is
on the way to my house as we speak. I have a few questions about it
though. I noticed that on the AGGC website that the smallest pumpkin grown
from this seed was a 600lb+ pumpkin. Is this because it has problems with
splitting and only a few pumpkins are surviving or is it because the pumpkins
off this seed are actually doing that well? Did anyone plant this
seed? How was the plant size and how vigorous was it? I noticed that
not much has been said about the 879Holland as far as if it is good or bad, is
there a reason for this? Is there anyone else out there that is planting
it? So many question, but it is better than shoveling
snow!!!!!!!!!
