PGPGA Auction 24 hours to go!

List Members,
    The time is here to announce the Pennsylvania Giant Pumpkin Growers
Association Y2K Auction is coming to a close. With 25 hours to go, the
bids have slowed down, so if you are trying to get one of hte lots,
please make sure your bid is to me by 9:30 tomorrow night, the official
closing time. The internet problems from last night that plagued our
area seem to be past us, as we had certain lines down by my ISP, tht
blew a local T1 , halting access to any websites in and around my area.
I am sorry for the inconvenience, and think it is completely fixed.
    Many heartfelt thankyous go out for this successful auction and it
could not have been done without the generous contributions of the
people of the pumpkin communities of the Mallorn list, and the
giantpumpkins list at onelist. To Duncan, Mike, and Paul, thank you for
the space and efforts you put in to run these lists.. It can be tough,
but we all learn that patience is a virtue, and cooler heads do prevail.
Tilling time is just weeks away, and visions ov 1000 pounders jump
through most of our heads, so best of luck to you and yours, cause I
know I am going into the 1000 pound  club this year.. (heehee)...

Poem for those in need of a smile....

Growing the big ones whether orange or green,
Is a sight to behold, a sight to be seen.

Seeds, soil, weather and lots of good luck,
Help grow the monsters, you'll need a big truck.

If all is done right, one grand will be yours,
And at seasons end, you be done giving tours.

As all those non growers, look on in sheer wonder,
Was it milk, miracle gro, or mother natures blunder.

A freak , a freak, they yell with glee,
To them an ugly orange thing, to me something pretty.

Now as I look back, on the season that past,
I wonder what did it, what grew it so fast.

For it must have been, that fabulous donation,
The PGPGA accepted, that made me # 1 in the nation.

#1 in the world -Maybe I will, maybe I wont,
I sure had fun though, even if I dont...
