seed naming classification system

Seed classification naming is important.  Could someone elaborate on the following:

Parents:

Pumpkin plant grown from two year old 914 Checkon 98 seed (female) is pollinated from plant grown with 891 Smith 99 seed (male).

Offspring Example One:

Some seeds of that fruit are passed along to Johnson who grows an offspring to 688 pounds in 2000.

Q.  Would you have a 688 Johnson 00, although Johnson merely grew and did not breed the seeds used?

Offspring Example Two:

Some seeds from the original cross are kept by the originator of the cross, Ericson, who self-pollinates his plant and grows a 1012 pound pumpkin in 2000.

Q.  Would you have a 1012 Ericson 00 and not mention either Checkon or Smith who grew the parent plants?

Respectfully,

Matt Garver

For Example,    815 Checkon 98

815 is weight of the pumpkin

Checkon is name of grower who grew it

98 is the year it was grown in.
