Busty Dusty in NZ
Dusty is now 58 inches around the tummy and still pale
yellow. Today is a scorcher so I expecting a bit more growth.
Cilla and Lulu are a bit less. There are some others coming
on as well. I have been away a week and they have sneaked up on me. Throwing
the water in now and some liquid feed. I did some weeding but the vines are
all tangled up and quite compact this year so I kept my size twelve's out as
much as possible.
I think that Dusty is the only one on the Eaton and Cilla
and Lulu are on the same vine which may be from Dolly. It is very difficult
to see amongst the vines so I will not look too hard but will get a fix on
it come the Pumpkin Festival on April 9th.
All vines have been hoisted skyward on the spring loaded
automatic vine hoister which seems to work well.
