Re: sugar water?


Conversely to most people response to this, yes it works!!!

many many years ago, maybe 50, members of my familiy took a regular marrow
and inserted a piece of wool through a small hole made next to the stalk,
the other end was then kept in a bucket of WATER. hey presto 1 Marrow that
swelled into the biggest you could imagine for "Long Green Bush", i think it
made 20 odd LB's, i can ask for more info if you would like.  This is as far
as i remember from what i've been told.  Not tried on on my own plants
though.
