Help..... please.
I have been growing the AG's now for 4 years.. and I have that awful Squash
Vine Borer... I have tried Isotox at up to 10 times the recommended
doseage... and I have sprayed as much as 5 times a week (depending upon the
Weather, rain...). But, I still have live squash vine borers in the stems
of my pumpkin plants, some are dead, but I still have live ones.. I have
grown pumpkins up to 588lbs.. I was wondering if this is why my pumpkins are
not reaching into the 700+ range? I do have good seeds and genetic stock
and the know how of how to raise these pumpkins, so I don't think the seeds
are the problem.
I have even gone as far as catching the flying adult female.... but I can't
sit around the garden all day and try to catch each one.
Any advice and how you may control these little 'buggers' will be greatly
appreciated.
PS.. I have been told that Beneficial Nematodes may help.
Thanks.
