Last year I used a fifty fifty mixture of sevin and Bonide fruit tree spray.
The Bonide product contained the chemical Methoxichlor. Last year about this
time there were similar posts regarding controlling the svb. Several growers
had reported good results using Methoxichlor. Off I went to various hardware
stores and garden centers looking for Methoxichlor. No one seemd to have ever
heard of it. Reading the labels of several garden pest contol products, I
discovered that the Bonide fruit tree spray contained Methoxichlor. The
percentage of total volume of the product is low. Seem to remember about 12%.
Best year controlling the pests I have had. Only a few holes last year.
