To have a competitive sport there has to be success & failure. First & last. Other wise why
have a competition at all. The view from here.
PS: I've been & expect to be again at both end's of this spectrum , but's that's what makes it a competition.
I agree Bill. Thats what makes it tough as an organizer. You don’t want to get too”Warm and Fuzzy” You lose the spirit of competition. What I was looking at was does the 2 cash prizes make good sense if your trying to promote participation and competition . Fortunately nature keeps the growing game honest . But where the problem lies is if you have the smartest and strongest dogs always getting the food the others will give up and die. And as a promoter you don’t want that so you have to throw them a bone to keep them alive so they can get strong and smart too and remain hopeful and diligent.........MB
