Urea is the only form of fertilizer readily available to the plant as a folier in merricle grow. If you want folier then each part of the fertilizer must be chelated, ie Chelated pottasium etc. merricle grow works because of the Micro nutrients not just N-P-K, which are your three basic Macro nutrients. I am taking a class and right now we are studying fertilizers so this is on the top of mind.
  If you want 10-10-10 get 10-10-10 but we are not looking at merricle grow for nitrogen there are a million sources of nitrogen a heck of allot better than 10-try urea if you want nitrogen 46-0-0 but Merricle grow is high in Phosphorous and that is what we are looking for in merricle grow.
  If you add 50 nitrogen 50 phosphorous and 50 potassium in a big drum mix it up and apply one LB of it you have actually applied 13.75-13.75-13.75 not 50-50-50 but if you apply one LB of 50-0-0 nitrogen one LB of 0-50-0 phosphorous and one LB of 0-0-50 Potassium you have now applied 50-0-0 + 0-50-0 + 0-0-50 which is 50-50-50 which is allot of fert.
  If anyone wants a GREAT fertilizer for Folier feeding let me know privately a company I am dealing with makes Fully folier fertilizers with everything from N-P-K to calcium and Microneutrients. Hope this may have helped a little take care all and I hope all of you have a wonderful 2002 season.
