Where the alleles/genes display co-dominance the F1- first generation is
noticeably different from both parents is the only explanation I can figure.

The only fact out there is the red gene is dominant over the green.

I planted the 1020kuhn =712kuhn x 801stelts I would have thought that the
1020 would have thrown red orange but threw pure white. ???

I think that we can make pure breeding green and pure breeding red orange
but these ones that seem to display co-dominance like pink or salmon or
cream I think will always will be a mixed bag anyone's guess...mb
