7.1 ph is fine..... I personally would not do a thing?  From you
description, it sounds like you like in a warmer climate, are you from the
California area, or down south?

My ph is 7.0, but living here in the NorthEast it is a constant battle
(because of acid rain), I am always adding lime (Spring and Fall).
