Probably just about anything in or in the immediate area of the 
tunnels, however I'm sure it does dissipate. On the other hand, if you 
have gophers, your going to loose your pumpkins and vines anyway. 
Fumatoxin is injected into the tunnels and I believe moisture helps 
activate it. Works better in clay than sand. 
I use the fire hose because It gives me an unlimited, rapid supply of 
water. 
If I had to use the storage tank, I would have at least 200 gallons 
with a one and a half inch hose. The idea being to rapidly fill there 
tunnel system with a large volume of water before they can get to 
higher ground. 
A garden hose just doesn't cut it.
