Here in Central Pennsylvania mushroom soil is a popular soil enhancer. What I understand is that the stuff is mostly horse manure, compost, etc, which is devleoped specifically for growing mushrooms. When the stuff is "spent" for mushrooms, it is sold for about $20/yard.
I used it on my garden last year with good results on all the veggies. (Don't ask about the pumpkin, I did about everything wrong). Has anyone had any direct experience using mushroom soil for growing giant pumpkins?
Thanks in advance for your comments.
