Howdy, Pumpkineers!

I'm a garden writer as well as partner to my son in the Great Pumpkin Quest.
 I have the opportunity to write an article for the Kansas City Star
newspaper on you-know-what, for one of their lawn & garden specials coming
out this spring.  

Therefore, I'm calling all KC-area growers, including the fellow in Olathe
[?] to contact me via e-mail so I can include your personal insight into this
big orange sport!  If you have good quality slides or prints, I betcha they'd
be interested in seeing your best one.

P.S.  A caution:  This article will be "on spec"; there's no guarantee it'll
actually hit print [don't call all your family and friends until we're for
sure], or what it'll look like [that means that I might add your quote and
the editor might delete it because of space reasons].  That's the way the
writing business goes [not unlike gardening!]
