Have you thought about using drip irrigation? I use that instead of the
soaker hose, I bury it underground, then inject fertilizer using a home made
mixer I made out of 4 inch pvc and fittings. It's not pretty but I load it
up once a week to feed my plants with and seems to work well.
I think I have about 15 or 20 bucks invested in it.
