I want to begin to collect information from all who know, about ice
cooling the female in hot weather to better insure pollination ( I'm
talking pumpkins now !) It is a technique talked about and used by
Wayne, "The Brain" Hackney, and as I see in the photo sent me by our
pumpkin god, Mr. Chris Anderson himself. I want to get this down to a
bit more of a science, with some sound engineering involved. It is an
important technique for the southern grower to know so come on Wayne,
Chris, and whoever else, lets get this down to an illustrated technique
so as to help us out here "where the growing gets tough". Tim Canniff,
ever use this down there in Florida? By the way, send me some photos and
articles for the upcoming premier issue of the SPGA newsletter.
