My neighbor got home, and I asked him about your controversial Portugese Tree
Pumpkins.
Sorry, Claudia, he knows of no such plant! He thought my question was very
funny, and said no, their pumpkins grow just like ours do, on vines from the
ground. I wish you could have been there to see his facial expression and hear
his accent!
He said, "Someone told you we grow pumpkins from trees???" "Like many people
think money grows on trees in America?"
