Beth,
Never fear, I will never be driven underground by some overbearing
email-fearing people. I too look forward to a day when 40 emails fill my
box and 39 of them are pumpkin related. I learned from the banter also,
although I am usually one fo the quiet ones in here. My contribution to
this list is going to be made at the end of the year, when I am standing
at a podium explaining how I grew the worlds largest pumpkin, to which I
will be respondiong the great Pumpkin mailing list, of course!!
If it were not for all the banter, like you said, I would not learn as
muuch, which is very evident from the lack of emails in the past week.
Even though each posting some look at seem trivial and not topic
oriented, eventually it always has some redeeming value to the world of
giant pumpkin growing. The groups of people who were forced underground
to carry thier conversations are legitimate, big time pumpkin growers
who will always be thinking about the content of their postings now, and
when that process eliminates some small piece of info they deemed
unimportant, it could have been the peice of info I was looking for all
along.
Please resurface top growers, banter to your hearts content, and let
those who see fit to belly ache about non pumpkin realted emails on this
list exercise their one mouse button that is lined up over the delete
key a few times. It is going to hurt un who wanted the postings more,
than those few individuals who are so lazy that they can not find the
delete key.
I said my peace, no grow in peace...
