Bob, I know it's been covered before but its been quite a while. In light
of your information, what is the benefit of adding brewers yeast to the
compost or soil? I figure if anyone has tried it you would because you have
access to plenty of it. I noticed its also one of the ingredients in
George's list of amendments. I've done a little home brewing and I've been
thinking maybe I should have saved the water I used to rinse the yeast cake
out of the carboy after racking to my priming bucket and poured that onto my
compost pile. How much would be good and how much would be too much?

PS. My first batch was an amber ale and it suprised me by turning out
really good. My second batch, a pale ale was bottled on the first of this
month and I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Didn't think to save the yeast
though.
